Janice McFarland introduced Pilates to Central Kitsap by opening BODY reFORM in September of 2000. Her interest to become a teacher of the Pilates method began in the mid 90's and was the result of many years as a Pilates student.
She is certified as a STOTT PILATES instructor and is also an American Council on Exercise certified Group Fitness Instructor. Since 1980, Janice has taught a variety of fitness classes as well as lectured to youth & adult groups on the importance of a healthy and fit body. While teaching Pilates, she enjoys watching her students successfully complete Pilates poses that they never thought possible. Janice is an avid cyclist and runner and in June 2003 completed a yearlong cycling tour of the world with her husband and two teenagers. "Practicing Pilates throughout our tour gave me the overall strength and stamina to successfully complete this dream." |

Michelle Brodie earned a bachelor's degree
in Nursing, and has learned first hand what benefits fitness and
nutrition can do to enhance health maintenance. Her enthusiasm
for Pilates grew after participating in mat sessions. She found that
the deep abdominal core strength she was gaining, led to an overall
improvement in her physical fitness, stamina, flexibility, and
balance. This added strength and confidence, enabled her to complete
her 3rd marathon with a personal best. Michelle's added studies of
Nutrition and Women's Health bring a full balance to her Pilates
